According to a statement issued by Animoca Brands, Kensuke Amo, who is known for his leadership in the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) and emerging crypto asset industries, formally took on the position of COO on Thursday. Animoca Brands Japan’s Main Objective

Animoca Brands Japan was founded in 2021 and has been leading the way in assisting Japanese content owners and intellectual property in their international Web3 expansion. The company’s strategy entails making use of its extensive network and resources, which include more than 400 portfolio firms, to promote the expansion and uptake of Web3 technologies in Japanese culture.

A significant Japanese trade business called Mitsui & Co. made an unknown investment in Animoca Brands in June of the previous year. Kensuke Amo conveyed his enthusiasm regarding Animoca Brands Japan’s position and ability to aid in the development of Web3 in society. “Animoca Brands Japan is a strategic subsidiary of Animoca Brands and will leverage its network and assets, including its over 400 portfolio companies, while combining its business acumen and rule-making experience in the Japanese Web3 industry,” the announcement reads.

Getting Around in the Post-Boom World

The CEO of Animoca Brands Japan, Daisuke Iwase, emphasized the importance of Kensuke Amo’s appointment in light of the state of Web3. “Now that the transient Web3 boom has passed and only the essentials remain, I look forward to working with Kensuke, who has continued to lead the fields of Crypto Assets, NFT, and Metaverse in Japan,” Iwase said, acknowledging the shift from a short-lived to a more long-lasting phase.

Under Kensuke Amo’s direction, Animoca Brands Japan hopes to expand on its recent achievements and solidify its position as a major player in the Japanese Web3 market. The strategic appointment takes place at a critical juncture, as the organization aims to support Web3 technologies’ integration and long-term effects in the Japanese market.
