Telegram’s Gaming Scene Faces a Setback as Catizen and Hamster Kombat Delay Their Token Drops

Why Catizen’s Token Giveaway is Delayed

Catizen, a social entertainment platform on Telegram, has over 27 million active users. The game’s creator, Pluto Studio, planned to give away 43% of their CATI tokens. However, they have faced several issues that have delayed the giveaway. These include difficulties in securing leading exchanges, ensuring enough liquidity, and determining the listing price. Compliance with regulations and market conditions have also contributed to the delay.

To ensure long-term value, Pluto Studio decided that investors and the team will not receive any CATI tokens immediately. Instead, there will be a waiting period followed by a gradual release over four years. Despite the delay, Bybit, a major cryptocurrency exchange, announced it will list the CATI token on its platform on July 30.

Additionally, Pluto Studio faced backlash for a $100,000 donation to PETA due to the organization’s controversial practices. In response, Pluto Studio suspended the collaboration and clarified that donations would be used for feeding, vaccination, rescue, and adoption assistance.

Hamster Kombat’s Token Giveaway Delay

Hamster Kombat, a popular game on Telegram, has over 250 million players. The game’s developers planned to launch their HMSTR token in July but have not yet done so, disappointing players.

The Hamster Kombat team explained that the delay is due to the complexity of the technical task and potential network issues. They assured players that they are working to ensure a smooth giveaway and that every player will receive their tokens.

The Rise of Telegram-Based Crypto Games in 2024

In 2024, Telegram-based crypto games have seen significant growth and user interest. Leading the way is Notcoin, a game launched by Open Builders, which quickly gained popularity due to its simple play-to-earn mechanism. Notcoin’s success has paved the way for other games like Hamster Kombat and Catizen, leveraging the popularity of the TON blockchain.

Other projects, such as YesCoin (YES) and TapSwap (TAPS), have also seen a surge in usage and popularity, contributing to the overall trend. The current interest in Telegram-based crypto games suggests a promising future for Hamster Kombat and Catizen once they overcome their current obstacles.

The delays in the token giveaways for Catizen and Hamster Kombat highlight the challenges involved in launching new tokens in the rapidly evolving crypto gaming space. Despite these setbacks, the continued growth and interest in Telegram-based crypto games indicate a promising future for these projects. Players and investors alike will be watching closely as Catizen and Hamster Kombat work to overcome these obstacles and deliver on their promises.
