As the highly anticipated game Guild of Guardians approaches its global launch on Wednesday, 15th May, it has already made waves in the NFT world. According to CryptoSlam, Guild of Guardians has become the top-traded gaming NFT collection across all blockchains.

In the week leading up to the launch, from 6th to 13th May, the in-game hero collection recorded a trading volume of $125,000. However, the trading volume for its Profile Picture (PFP) avatars has skyrocketed, reaching over $3 million in the past seven days and exceeding $500,000 in just the last 24 hours.

The floor price of Guild of Guardians NFTs is currently $121, a significant increase compared to the floor price of $3.50 for the in-game NFT characters. This surge reflects the growing demand and excitement around the game’s launch.

Leading the Immutable Platform

Among other NFT collections on the Immutable platform, Guild of Guardians stands out prominently. The next largest collection, Cross the Ages, has a sales volume that is less than 10% of that of Guild of Guardians.

Amid increasing volatility and crashing token prices, the GOG token has shown remarkable resilience. According to CoinGecko, the token price has increased by 392% over the past 12 months and 36% in the last 30 days, highlighting its strong market performance.

A Game Poised for Success

Published by Immutable and co-developed by Mineloader, Guild of Guardians is a mobile roguelite squad battler that has been in development for 14 months. Notably, it is one of the first, and certainly the most high-profile, games to launch on Immutable’s zkEVM mainnet.

Seen as one of the most anticipated blockchain games of 2024, Guild of Guardians has already attracted over 1 million pre-registered users, reflecting the massive interest in the game.

Exciting In-Game Events

With the launch, Guild of Guardians is introducing its first season, “The Dread Is Here,” running from 15th May to 26th June. Players will focus on building their squads to battle against The Dread.

The initial leaderboard event, “Age of the Dread,” features $1 million worth of GOG tokens and exclusive prizes like Founder NFTs and Ascendant Seals. These prizes, which are in-game resources required to mint web2 assets, are set to increase with each new user joining the competition.

The following season, “Guardians Unite,” starting on 26th June, will emphasize social and cooperative gameplay. Features such as raids, crafting, and auctions will be introduced, and the impact of guilds will become more significant.
