Notcoin Airdrop Claim Ends as Telegram Crypto Gaming Gains Momentum

Players of Notcoin have until Sunday, June 16, to claim their NOT tokens, marking the end of the airdrop period. Launched a month ago on The Open Network, the NOT token quickly soared to a $1 billion market cap and now boasts a value exceeding $2 billion, securing its place among the top 60 cryptocurrencies.

Notcoin players from the initial “mining phase” can claim their tokens within the Telegram mini app. Options include sending tokens to an exchange, withdrawing to a self-custody wallet, or staking them in-game. Players who stake their tokens will receive a level bump the following month, offering more earning opportunities and rewards as the game grows.

Future Development and Token Burn

Unclaimed tokens will be allocated to future development or burned, according to developer Open Builders. Players can confirm their token claim by checking for an “OK” hand emoji within the Notcoin app. The game currently has nearly 2.5 million on-chain holders and millions more through exchanges.

Notcoin’s primary gameplay, paused since April 1, is expected to return soon alongside new games. The team aims to create a platform akin to Netflix for social games, incorporating passive crypto earning opportunities through various partnerships.

Hamster Kombat and Other Games Rise

Following Notcoin’s success, other Telegram-based games like Hamster Kombat are gaining traction. Hamster Kombat, with over 150 million players, plans a TON token launch in July. Similar games, Yescoin and TapSwap, are also preparing to launch tokens on The Open Network.

Impact on The Open Network and Toncoin

The growing interest in Telegram-based crypto games has positively impacted The Open Network and its native Toncoin (TON), which recently hit a new high of $8.25. Toncoin now ranks in the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap.

With Notcoin’s airdrop claim ending and new games emerging, the Telegram crypto gaming scene is rapidly evolving. The success of Notcoin and its peers highlights the potential for growth and innovation in this space, benefiting both players and the broader crypto ecosystem.
